The Smith County Clerk’s Official Public Records Department, located in the basement of the Courthouse Annex, will be closed on Friday, May 24.

The carpet, damaged in a recent flood, will be replaced that day.

Deputy Clerks will be available on the third floor of the Annex, where the public will be able to file their Official Public Records, as well as to search for filed records on the public stations.

The books will not be available for inspection  until Tuesday, May 28. Smith County offices are closed Monday, May 27, for Memorial Day.
