Boards and Commissions fulfill an important role in county government by evaluating issues which affect our community and making recommendations to the Smith County Commissioners Court for needed action.
Board or committee positions are open to all residents of Smith County and appointments are made by the Commissioners Court, according to the Smith County Policy for General Board Appointment Procedures
