ID is required to vote. Here is a list of the ID's you can use.

NEW: This Interactive Map of Smith County allows a user to enter their address to view the precinct in which they reside as well as the districts they are eligible to vote on. Users can also view where an address is located in relation to a polling place, either early voting or Election Day.

March 3, 2026 Primary Elections

Important Dates:

January 2, 2026 - First Day to Submit an Application for a Ballot by Mail
February 2, 2026 - Last Day to Register to Vote. You can check your registration status and address.

February 17,2026 - First Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
February 20, 2026 - Last Day to Submit an Application for a Ballot by Mail (received, not postmarked)
February 27, 2026 - Last Day of Early Voting by Personal Appearance
March 4, 2026 - Last Day to Receive Ballot by Mail (postmarked by 7 p.m. on March 3, 2026)

The Smith County Elections Office will begin live streaming the voted ballots when they are delivered to office in their ballot boxes the evening of February 27, 2026, when early voting ballots are delivered, and will continue to do so 24-hours-a-day until after the votes are canvassed. This is being done to comply with Section 127.1232(b) of the Texas Election Code.
