Wayne Allen was sworn in as Smith County Precinct 2 Constable on November 18, 2022.
Allen was born and raised in Arlington, before moving to the Tyler area where he earned his Associates Degree from Tyler Junior College. Wayne is married to Heather Allen and they have three adult children, Emily, Alyssa and Andrew. Wayne began working for the Tyler Police Department in 1991. He served as a police officer for almost 30 years, and is an honorably retired Financial Crimes Detective with the Tyler Police Department. In this role, he primarily conducted complex fraud investigations as a member of the United States Secret Service-East Texas Financial Crimes Task Force. Prior to serving as detective, he also served in the patrol and traffic divisions.
In February of 2019, Wayne retired from the Tyler Police Department and moved into corporate security with The Home Depot, where he served as District Manager of AP and Safety before being elected Constable of Precinct 2 in November of 2022.

We are committed to ensuring public safety and providing exceptional service while being a good steward of taxpayer dollars. Our office strives to foster an environment where justice prevails, while we support the community by building trust, and maintaining transparency in all our efforts. We are dedicated to safeguarding the rights and wellbeing of all residents, while ensuring efficient and effective execution of legal processes.
